Man dies from bullet wound in Kyaukme, Shan State

A man identified as U Thein Lin Tun (a) Maung Wyne, 22, was fatally shot by four armed and unidentified men on motorcycles in Kyaukme Township, Shan State, yesterday morning.
U Thein Lin Tun was a helper on a 12-wheeled truck transporting 20 oxen from Kyaukme to Hsipaw driven by a man named U Win Myint Htay and two other people on board. They were attacked by four men armed with small firearms, riding two each on a motorcycle, around 5:45 a.m. between mileposts 117/3-4 on the Union Highway near Chaungkyauk Village, Kyaukme Township.
The truck veered off the road and collided into a tree, U Thein Lin Tun was the only who died from four bullets to his head and neck while the remaining three people were unharmed.
The Kyaukme Police Station has opened a case under (Pa)6/2020, Section 302/114 of the Penal Code and are investigating into the matter. —MNA (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
