Magway Region greenlights new investment in May

According to the Magway Region Investment Committee, regional authorities granted a new Myanmar citizen investment totalling K1,280 million in May, which is expected to create 33 job opportunities.
A member of the Magway Region Investment Committee said, “One new local investment was approved at the 5/2024 meeting of the Magway Region Investment Committee, which took place on 30 May. The approved business operates in the hotels and tourism sector”.
In the meeting, the committee also granted permission for certain businesses to increase their total fixed capital. The region saw an increase in the labour force during the month. The Magway Region Investment Committee has been approving new investments, both local and foreign, monthly to create employment opportunities. — ASH/TMT
