A total of eight types of MSME businesses, including value-added product manufacturing firms located in regions, states, and the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, will be provided with loans, according to regional MSME development agencies.
As stipulated in Section 20 (c) of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Law, the government has allocated loans through MSME development fund, enabling MSME businesses to access financing at low interest rates.
The maximum loan amounts for businesses are set as K10 million for microbusiness, K50 million for small-scale business, and K100 million for medium-sized business.
MSME entrepreneurs seeking loans can submit applications through the MSME development agency’s branch offices located in regions, states, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, as well as Self-Administered Division and Zones.
Myanma Economic Bank will commence lending for the convenience of loan applicants, with arrangements being made for other private banks to participate in the lending process. — TWA/TH
