Screeshot validates false claims.

The malicious Khit Thit media deliberately circulates fake news on social media that on 2 February, a child was killed and at least five others were wounded by the explosion of the heavy weapon shelled by the Tatmadaw in a section of Asia Highway between Thingan-Nyinaung tactical operations base and Ywathitgon Village in Myawady Township, Kayin State.
However, a security official responsible for the area confirmed no fire occurred in Thingan-Nyinaung military base and Ywathitgon Village on 2 February. On the contrary, the KNLA insurgents and PDF terrorists launched heavy weapons targeting the military base security outposts, which actually landed in the villages and killed the civilians. The subversive media outlets are fabricating false news intentionally to decay the image of the Tatmadaw. — MNA/ TMT
