The coordination meeting of Kayin State tax collection task force is in progress on 11 June 2024.

Revenue spaces will be expanded rather than an increase in the tax rate, Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo said on 11 July.
Tax collected in Kayin State contributed to social development. Revenue space will be extended at the work coordination meeting of the Kayin State Tax Collection Task Force.
Taxes levied in the country are to raise revenue for government expenditure and public services. Inspection for tax evaders is underway. In addition to broadening revenue districts, there is a need to entice taxpayers to improve tax collections, he continued.
The Kayin State government will join hands with government institutions in each sector regarding the 2024-2025 financial year collection of all kinds of taxes, action taken against failure to have tax stamps affixed on receipt, taxation awards, dividends from tax revenues to the Kayin State government and tax awareness. — TWA/KK
