K5.9 billion worth Hypermarket with 164 shops to be built in Hpa-an

According to U Aung Than, chairman of KSD Co Ltd and in charge of the Hypermarket construction project, the facility, which will feature 164 shops, is set to be built in Hpa-an, Kayin State, with an investment of K5,900 million.
Aung Ngwe Phu Company Limited will construct a market that complies with the guidelines set by the Kayin State Development Public Company on a 3.642-acre plot of land near Shweyinmyaw Pagoda, Ward No 2, Hpa-an. The project includes ten new high-end, two-storey residential shops made of reinforced concrete (RC), each measuring 20 feet wide and 50 feet long, as well as another building of similar design measuring 30 feet wide and 50 feet long. Additionally, RC four-storey Hypermarket buildings, each measuring 100 feet wide and 100 feet long, will be constructed. The shops will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
A ceremony to lay the foundation of the market was held on 4 July in Ward No 2 of Hpa-an. — ASH/TKO
