K4.425B worth of stimulant tablets confiscated in Shwetaung township

According to the Myanmar Police Force, stimulant tablets worth K4.425 billion were seized in Shwetaung township, Bago Region.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team comprising members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a six-wheel vehicle driven by Htun Htun Win, accompanied by Htin Kyaw and Hein Min Min (aka) Hman Lay near Sinmakyet village on Yangon-Pyay Road in Shwetaung township at 10:30 am on 28 May. The search resulted in the discovery of 2,950,000 stimulant tablets packed in bags, valued at K4.425 billion, hidden under bricks.
Similarly, the police force continuously arrested Kyaw Swa Htun, who is the owner of the vehicle and involved in the transport of the drug, Htun Htun (aka) Maung Maung and Yan Naung Htwe (aka) Naung Naung who are involved in the drugs trafficking.
“The offenders admitted that the seized drugs, which originated from Shan State, are to be transported from Yangon Region to Mindon Township in Magway Region.
They are under prosecution, and perpetrators are still under investigation, according to the Police Force. — MNA/MKKS
