K200 special postage stamps to be released on 8 August to commemorate 57th ASEAN anniversary

New K200 postage stamp released by the Myanmar Post Office to commemorate the 57th ASEAN Anniversary.

To commemorate the 57th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN, the Myanmar Post Office has announced that it will sell a special postage stamp worth 200 kyats starting from 8 August.

The Myanmar Post Office, under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, will sell this special postage stamp on 8 August (the 4th waxing day of Wakhaung, 1386 Myanmar Era (Thursday)) at the Nay Pyi Taw Central Post Office, the Yangon Post Office, the Mandalay Post Office and other regional/state post offices, simultaneously from 09:30 am on that day.

As a special programme, postage stamps purchased from the Nay Pyi Taw Central Post Office, the Yangon Post Office and the Mandalay Post Office on 8 August will have first day covers on which a commemorative date stamp is made.

Stamps are already distributed to regional or state post offices. To buy first day covers, people can contact U Nyi Nyi Lwin, officer in charge of the Nay Pyi Taw Central Post Office, 09-450000226, U Aung Soe, officer in charge of the Yangon Post Office, 09-424000458 and U Tin Maung Myint, officer in charge of the Mandalay Post Office, 09-424000515.
