The Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo declared on 29 December that 1,171 Myanmar workers would be hired to work in Japan.
The embassy validated 295 demand letters between 16 December and 29 December, assessed the legal standing of recruiting companies, and subsequently reported its findings to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in turn, forwarded the information to the Ministry of Labour.
