Insurgents kill innocent people in some townships

The extremist armed insurgents brutally killed the administrative officers of some townships in regions and states in order to affect the administrative mechanism and threaten the government employees and local populace based on the different opinions and one-sided stances using guns, knives, homemade bombs and grenades.
About 15 insurgents holding percussion rifles shot Sayadaw U Nanita of Passima Yone Monastery in Kan Gyi Village of Pale Township of Sagaing Region and Ko Zaw Myo from Kan Gyi Village on 15 June. They returned from In Pin Hla Monastery from Kyo Pin Village and took a rest at the house of Ko Oo in Kyauk Yan Taw Pyin. The two victims died on the spot.
Similarly, on 16 June, U Aye Tun, deputy township education officer of Kyauktan Township of Yangon Region, was shot dead on the way to the township education office by the two insurgents riding motorcycle. The victim also died on the spot with a gunshot wound.
The officials investigate to arrest the suspects who committed brutal murder cases. — MNA
