Indo-Myanmar Friendship Association holds Holi 2024 in New Delhi

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reported that the Holi 2024 festival took place in New Delhi, India, on 25 March, organized by the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Association.
Holi 2024 aimed to foster cultural exchange and strengthen mutual friendship and understanding within the Myanmar-Indian community.
During the Holi 2024 event, staff from the Myanmar embassy and Myanmar families participated in traditional Myanmar dances, while Indian dancers entertained with their traditional dances and music. Traditional cuisine from both Myanmar and India was also offered. Additionally, guests had the opportunity to partake in the vibrant tradition of splashing colourful powder, which is characteristic of the Indian festival.
Attendees included staff and families from the Myanmar Embassy and the office of the Myanmar military attaché, Myanmar citizens and students residing in India, as well as representatives from various countries such as the Brunei Ambassador, Thai Ambassador, Nepalese Ambassador, Sri Lanka Ambassador, Kazakhstan Ambassador, and Kenya Ambassador in New Delhi. Moreover, representatives from ASEAN countries and partner nations, along with religious leaders from Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Jainism, entrepreneurs, and members of the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Association, were present at the event. — ASH/ TMT
