The workshop for organizing the Indo Agri-Food & Feed, which will be set from 8 to 10 January 2024 in Chennai, India, was held at Chatrium Hotel in Yangon on 30 November.
The meeting was attended by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Shri Vinay Kumar Ji, joint general secretaries of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), and respective officials and guests.
The workshop focused on the production and productivity of mung beans to be expanded in Myanmar when India is buying a large number of mung beans, rice and agricultural produce, increase in purchasing of agricultural produce from Myanmar.
By attending the Mega Agri-Food Trade Show, which will be held in Chennai, the chambers from Myanmar will get good contacts with buyers in India and will be able to export more. As there is already a direct flight to Chennai two times a week, the cost will be lower because there is no need to go through another city, and Kyat-Rupee payments will reportedly be convenient in tradings. – MNA/MKKS
