Union Minister U Myo Thant receives the Indian ambassador yesterday.

Union Construction Minister U Myo Thant received Mr Abhay Thakur, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, at the reception hall of the Ministry of Construction in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Both sides cordially and frankly exchanged views on the development of the road and communications sector, the development of border trade and a fast and smooth flow of goods, further improvement of the socioeconomic life of local people, the development of tourism, upgrading of the Paletwa-Zorampu Road and the Yekyi-Kalewa road section aided by India (Grant Aid), and work plans to be carried out regarding the maintenance of 69 bridges on the Tamu-Kyikone-Kalewa Road. — MNA/TS
