Illegal drugs seized in some townships

Win Htay, Wai Phyo Aung and Ye Min Tun (aka) Saw Tin Maung are seen together with seized drugs and saloon.

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a passenger vehicle at the Mahlwetaung combined checkpoint in Kaleinaung, Yephyu Township on the evening of 27 March and seized 146,250 stimulant tablets from the vehicle.
On the same day, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force also seized 110,000 stimulant tablets from the vehicle ridden by Aung Ko Ko (a) Aung Ko near Tayoketan village, Myeik (South) village-tract in Myeik Township.
Similarly, on the same day, 5,850 stimulant tablets and 0.01 kilogramme of heroin from a motorcycle ridden by Kyaw Lin in PyinOoLwin Township, and 9,900 stimulant tablets from a vehicle in Yankin Township, were seized, and action is being taken against the arrested suspects under the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law, according to the Myanmar Police Force. — MNA
