IDP camps receive COVID-19 protective items

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement is distributing healthcare items for prevention of COVID-19 at the camps of internally displaced persons.
A total of 12 camps in Mogaung, Namtee and Phakant townships received 6,496 cloth masks, 857 bottles of hand sanitizers, 40 bags of lime powder, 16 thermometers, 12 hand-speakers, 12 memory sticks with COVID-19 awareness campaign audio files, 1,101 hard soaps, 17 hand washing basins and 12 vinyl posters.
The ministry also provided 10,600 cloth masks, 1,750 bottle of hand sanitizer, 30 bags of lime powder, 2 hand speakers and 2 memory sticks to the two IDP camps in Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State: 10 bags of lime powder, 1 thermometer and 1,272 hard soaps at Panku camp in Kutkai Township, Shan State; 63,714 cloth masks, 1,286 bottles of hand sanitizer, 47 bags of lime powder, 7 thermometers, 1,149 bars of hard soaps, 6 hand washing basins and 6 vinyl posters.
The ministry is providing both material and immaterial supports in Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States to prevent and control of COVID-19 diseases.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
