Hluttaw representatives, Muse District/Township officials, businesspersons and donors convened at the Muse District hall on 4 May to discuss ongoing and future processes on prevention of COVID-19 in Muse, northern Shan State.
Muse District Administrator U Hlaing Soe Thant discussed preparations for COVID-19 in Muse, sending persons who have completed 21-days quarantine to relevant departments, transporting people arriving from China and other regions of Myanmar in facility quarantines, and the purpose of the meeting.
The attendees also discussed locking down the house and surrounding community of the positive case in Muse, negotiating with Chinese officials for cargo waiting for a prolong period to transport to China soon, discussing with officials from Shweli-Kyelkaung on difficulties faced by corn cultivators in shipping their goods in Namhkam and Manhero, difficulties in Muse border region and Myanmar-China trade situation, and matters pertaining to COVID-19 in Muse.—Salai Ban Yoe Htan (IPRD) (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
