Gems art painting attract a lot of attention, demand rises

The number of gems art painting businesses has increased in Mandalay and the demand has been good, according to the community of gemstones painting businesses.

It is a business that embroiders Mogok’s high-quality gems on paintings and it has been operating for years.

“It is a business of embroidering gemstones on paintings of pagoda or people, logo, building and scenery. It uses Mogok’s high-quality gems. For a portrait painting, they draw a picture of a person and then decorate it with gems. There are a lot of these businesses in Mandalay. It attracts a lot of attention. People buy them to give as gifts. They give pagoda paintings as housewarming presents. The market has already developed here,” said an official from Lily gemstones painting business.

Depending on sizes, the product price varies. The price of the smallest size 6inch-8inch scenery or pagoda painting is K18,000, a portrait painting of a person is K28,000 and a painting of two persons is K33,000.
