152 more Myanmar workers sent to South Korea

Through the Public Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), a another 152 Myanmar workers were sent to the Republic of Korea on 16 July under the EPS system, according to the Myanmar Embassy in the Republic of Korea.
Of 152, seven new agriculture and livestock workers and 145 new manufacturing workers are included.
After workers arrived at Incheon International Airport from Yangon on Myanmar National Airlines’ UB 8301 charter flight, the labour attaché from the embassy in Seoul welcomed and advised them on what they needed to follow.

One hundred and eighty eight manufacturing workers were sent by POEA on 25 June, the day when the Republic of Korea recruited one million foreign workers from 16 countries under the EPS system, according to the embassy.
In May, a total of 170 EPS workers were sent to the Republic of Korea via POEA — 152 new manufacturing workers on 21 May, 146 new manufacturing workers and 24 agriculture and livestock workers on 7 May.
According to the embassy, monthly conveyances of EPS Myanmar workers are a total of 421 under E-9 visa in April, a total of 862 in March and a total of 1,333 under E-9 visa in February. — MT/ZS/ED
