Food poisoning cases occur in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan), Thakayta Townships

About 60 children suffered from food poisoning in Ward 67 of Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township and No 29 Basic Education Primary School in Thakayta Township on 2 November, according to the township social organizations.
The children from a school in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township arrived at a clinic with the symptoms of abdominal pain and vomiting. Then they were delivered to Yankin Children’s Hospital, Halpin Children’s Hospital, North Okkalapa Hospital and Yangon General Hospital by ambulance at noon.
Similarly, the children from 29 Basic Education Primary School, Thakayta, suffered from abdominal pain and vomiting, so they were delivered to hospitals and the others received medical checkups at the school. In these two cases of food poisoning, most of the victims were under twelve.
The number of children who were hospitalized after suffering from food poisoning was unknown yet. — TWA/GNLM
