Five new basic education, industrial, agri and livestock High Schools open in Mandalay

In the 2024-2025 academic year, five more high schools in Mandalay Region will offer courses in industrial, agricultural, and livestock breeding, according to the Project Supervision and Assessment Department of the Mandalay Region Education Office.
In the 2025-2024 academic year, the courses are offered at No 27 Basic Education High School Pyigyidagun Township, Basic Education High School of No 2 EME workshop in Amarapura Township, No 1 Basic Education High School (Branch), PyinOoLwin Township, TadaU BEHS, and No 3 Basic Education High School in Myingyan Township.
In the academic year 2023-2024, a total of 51 schools across the country were opened for basic education plus industrial, agricultural, and livestock breeding, including five schools in the Mandalay Region.
These schools are opened to offer opportunities for students to continue their education after passing Grade 9 and completing secondary education. According to the schools, they have accepted 90 students for industrial studies, 30 another students for agriculture studies, and 30 another students for livestock studies.
In addition, the number of students attending basic education and industrial, agricultural, and livestock breeding high schools is increasing year by year, and schools that have not reached the specified number of students will admit enrollment until 24 June 2024. — TWA/TKO
