First cruise tour for Mawlamyine launched

Harmony River Cruise ship will commence the first cruise trip for Mawlamyine, Mon state on every weekend, according to an official.

The trip will start from Dawei bridge on Kanna street, Mawlamyine, through Thanlwin river and travellers can enjoy beautiful mountains, pagodas, fields, fishing boats and sunsets during the two-hour cruise.

“In the trip, we will pilot within two bridges – one bridge from Dawei bridge to Bilu island and one linked to Mottama,” he said.

The ticket, which includes a buffet and an unplugged show, costs K 20000 per person and K 15000 per child.

“The boat will sail up and down the Thanlwin river on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For the remaining four days, the ticket includes accommodation on board along with breakfast, lunch or dinner. We are making it worthwhile for customers to spend their time and money amidst scarcity,” he explained.

A charter trip can be arranged, if an organization or individual wishes to hold a gala dinner or wedding,
