Farmers in Mandalay Region receive K3.52 bln in agricultural loans

According to the Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank (Mandalay Region), a total of K3.52 billion in agricultural loans has been provided to farmers in Mandalay Region.
Since 20 May, the bank’s branches have been lending to growers of paddy and other crops in 23 townships. Currently, loans have been given to 5,623 farmers in 99 village-tracts across 17 townships.
Loans are disbursed to farmers every season, with amounts of K150,000 for an acre of paddy and K100,000 for an acre of other crops such as peanuts, green beans, and sesame. — TWA/MKKS
