False news: Young people in Yangon Region summoned by name to serve in military

Khit Thit, a malicious news media, spread false claims that four to 50 youths per ward and villages in townships of Yangon Region were summoned with their names and that Tatmadaw randomly selected youths in some neighbourhoods and took them away.
According to the statement of an official of the Yangon Region People’s Military Servant Summoning Team, the reports that Tatmadaw picked up young people in some communities and randomly selected young people in Yangon Region with their names on them are inaccurate.
From the day the People’s Military Service Law came into force, malicious news media and people who don’t want peace in the community have been spreading propaganda to create a lack of stability and peace with fake news. — MNA/KZL
