Fake news and misinformation are spreading on the social network that the Tatmadaw demanded ten men aged between 18 and 55 from each village-tract from administrators for serving military service at the office of Nattalin Township Administrator of Bago Region on 5 January.
According to an official from Nattalin Township, Tatmadaw did not demand the strength of residents to serve in the military service nor ordered them to serve forcibly. These are just misinformation spread by unscrupulous persons.
Malicious media posts misinformation on social network pages to cause misunderstanding amongst people about defaming Tatmadaw. They are instilling fear and hate speeches in people in all ways. — MNA/TTA
