Fake news on women’s military service

The screenshot validates misinformation.

Malicious media outlets spread fake news, claiming that women are forcibly gathered to serve in the military in Ayeyawady and Bago regions.
According to officials of Ayeyawady and Bago regions’ committees on the summoning of people’s military servants, the gathering of women for military service is invalid.
The malicious media and those who do not want peace and tranquillity intentionally circulate misinformation to impose fear among the public, starting from the date the People’s Military Service Law came into force.
People can contact region/state committees on the summoning of people’s military servants by dialling phone numbers announced in daily newspapers for further enquiries. — MNA/KTZH
