For those who employers haven’t selected after passing the 2023 Korean language test (EPS-TOPIK) for manufacturing (second batch) and construction sectors, the department will issue and accept extended applications, according to the Public Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), the Department of Labour.
Therefore, candidates should check their ID/Password via mobile phones, and only those whose applications expire on or before 30 September 2024 need to submit job applications, while an extension schedule for the rest with later expiry dates will be further announced, it said.
Only those not selected by employers will have to apply. Job application forms will be issued on 12-13 August, and the forms will be accepted back on 14-15 August.
The applicants must collect the form in person by presenting their passports and examination slips. Photos in the test application, passport and job application form must be the same. Medical check-ups must be done only at designated clinics, and only those who pass the check-ups must submit a job application form.
Documents to be attached to the job application are original passport and its colour copy, three passport sized photos (white background, good quality, 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm), original medical check-up, copy of citizenship scrutiny card, own bank account opened in a public/private bank under the same name as stated in the passport, copy of household register, copy of education qualification, and whether or not you have been to Korea and, if yes, job type and sector in the Republic of Korea, and complete date of re-entry into Myanmar.
The information, contact phone numbers, and certificates to be filled in or attached to the job application must be accurate, and if any of them are incorrect, it is the responsibility of the applicant, and there is no guarantee that everyone who submits a job application will be able to work in the Republic of Korea, the department said. — MT/ZN
