Drawing lots event for AFC Women’s Club Championship on 18 July

The lot-drawing ceremony of the 2024-2025 AFC Women’s Club Championship, supervised by the Asian Football Confederation for the first time, will kick-start on 18 July.
The Asian Football Confederation has increased the number of club competitions and changed its format this season. It will host the first-ever AFC Women’s Champions League at a higher level for women’s clubs.
The football confederation is making to improve the level of women’s football in the region as over 20 teams will compete in the final and qualifying stages.
According to the format, the final stage will be held with a total of 12 teams. Eight teams are allowed to play directly, and the qualifying teams will get the remaining four places. A total of 14 teams will compete in the qualifiers, and four teams will qualify.
Myawady FC won the 2023 Myanmar Women’s League title and qualified for the AFC tournament. Team Myanmar face football clubs from Thailand, Uzbekistan, Iran, India, Jordan, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, UAE, Singapore, Butan and Saudi Arabia in the qualifiers.
Football clubs from Japan, North Korea, Australia, China, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines and Chinese Taipei will have to compete directly from the final stage.
