U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr Iskander Azizov in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his recent appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. They cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further enhancement of the friendly bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries including the promotion of people-to-people contacts, and cooperation in trade, economy, education, health, culture, energy, electricity and tourism sectors, as well as closer collaboration in regional and multilateral contexts. — MNA
