Dhammacakka Day Ceremony marked at Indian Centre

The Indian Embassy to Myanmar held the Dhammacakka Day Ceremony at the Indian Centre in Pabedan Township, Yangon, on 21 July.
The event was inaugurated by Pro-Rector Dr Nodhinyana of International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University and Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur, who ignited the Dhamma candles. Both officials, along with the Director of the Indian Centre, Dr Surabhi Thakur, provided explanations about the significance of Dhammacakka Day.
Following this, Indian Ambassador Mr Abhay Thakur and other officials offered Waso robes to the ITBMU Pro-Rector and members of the Sangha attending the ceremony. Additionally, the ambassador and the pro-rector opened the new photo gallery at the centre before the Dhammacakka Day Ceremony was launched. — ASH/ TRKM
