In dedication to King Mindon, Prince Kanaung, King Thibaw and late royal relatives, Waso robe offering ceremony was held on 17 August at 9:00am at Shwekyin Nikaya Thathana Linkayama Maha Beikmandawgyi located at the corner of Kaba Aye Pagoda Road and Kyatawya Road in Yangon Region’s Bahan Township.

It was organized by next generations of Konbaung dynasty. “There are many attendees from royal next generation from King Thibaw, Kyaukpadaung princess and Nyaungyan Min and other royal families. It was concluded successfully,” said Htiketin Sithu Hein (Pyinzisu Paya family).

It is also a family donation, he said.

“From the beginning of the year, Legya Mibaya family and west Pyinzisu Paya family collected fund for this ceremony. So it is a ceremony held by two royal families together and dedicated to Magway Mibaya and Pyinzisu Mibaya as well. It was celebrated from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm,” he said. – Thit Taw/ZS
