COVID-19, resurging danger of pandemic to the people

The information reported by various news agencies and social networks, including daily newspapers and TV broadcasting stations, states terribly surging amounts of positive patients in the laboratory tests of COVID-19 on a daily basis.
The tally of confirmed COVID-19 patients in Myanmar are gathered from laboratories from the Ministry of Health and Sports, Defence Services General Hospitals (1000-bed) in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw, No 1 DSGH (700-bed) in PyinOoLwin, No 17 military hospital in Sittway, private hospitals and laboratories and hospitals as well as public health departments in regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
These health facilities release results in COVID-19 rapid antigen diagnostic tests performed on the patients. In this regard, two digits of confirmed patient numbers were released by newspapers issued on 1 June, but the number of patients started three digits the next day. Now, more than one hundreds of positive patient numbers are released on a daily basis.
Currently, variant COVID-19, a pandemic declared by the World Health Organization, spreads to neighbouring countries of Myanmar. Hence, people should take care of the dangers of the disease by following the health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports to prevent the pandemic’s threats.

All the people need to unite in the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic. Be cautious about the disease! Don’t move back! Let’s bravely march forward to fight against the COVID-19!

The government is striving for tightening restrictions against the departure and arrivals of flight passengers. Most of the flights leading to border towns were recently suspended as part of efforts to take preventive measures against infection of the pandemic.
While giving COVID-19 vaccination to the people, necessary preparations should be made to set the quarantine procedures for the patients and those with symptoms of the disease at the health units such as hospitals and clinics being operated by both government and private sectors.
Vigorous efforts must be made for providing necessary aid to the patients similar to that of the first and second waves of the disease. Health workers and volunteers need to serve their strength in fighting against the pandemic relentlessly.
