Control efforts intensified despite diarrhoea case decline in Yangon Region

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of new cases of diarrhoea in Yangon Region is decreasing.
It is reported that 74 new diarrhoea patients were admitted during the 24 hours between 15 and 16 July, a drop of 22 compared to the number admitted on 14 July. Among these patients, five suffered from severe diarrhoea, but all are now in stable condition.
On 16 July, 92 recovered patients were discharged from the hospital. A total of 705 patients have been discharged since the beginning of the outbreak. The Ministry of Health also stated that on-ground teams have been actively working to control the severe diarrhoea outbreak in Yangon Region. — TWA/TRKM
