Contact still lost on Myanmar migrant worker died in traffic accident in Malaysia

Concerning a Myanmar national died in traffic accident in Malaysia, contact with family and friends has been still lost, said Myanmar Free Funeral Service in Malaysia’s chair U San Win.

According to his Overseas Workers Identity Card (OWIC), he is identified as U Kyi Toe and 35 years old and died in Shah Alam, Selangor Province in Malaysia, but connection with family and workplace hasn’t reached yet, he said.

Due to fewer applicants, C of I centres to provide service until 6 July.

“He died on the spot. The body was sent to Shah Alam hospital and he got severe injury on head according to medical report. Officials tried to make contact with family and his colleagues in Malaysia shortly after he died but they couldn’t, that is why they contacted us to help finding,” said U San Win.

Initially, Malaysian police and officials tried to get connected with his family or colleagues but they couldn’t make it, so far, he said.

“We will continue finding. We will try to find his colleagues in Malaysia. The body still remain at the hospital because no one is found to claim it,” he added.
