The Ayeyawady Region Government is organizing the two-day Children’s Literary Festival in Labutta Township.
The opening ceremony of the festival at No.2 Basic Education High School yesterday was attended by Chief Minister U Hla Moe Aung, Regional High Court Chief Judge U Than Tun, Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Tin Aung Win, Minister for Development Affairs U Kyaw Myint, Head of Regional General Administration Department U Than Swe Win, officials, Hluttaw MPs, outstanding students and town elders to cut the ceremonial ribbon.
The session of opening ceremony was started with the speech of Chief Minister U Hla Moe Aung, asking for developing decent citizens of new generations for the country.
The booths of education, outstanding natives, Myanmar Police Force, Red Cross Society, Government Technology Institute, Township Development Committee are shown at the festival, together with literary and artistic performances of the children.— Labutta IPRD (Translated by Aung Khin)
