Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants holds 5/2024 meeting

State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San, in his capacity as Chairman of the Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants, attended the 5/2024 coordination meeting of the central body in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting, he talked about the previous meetings, drafting of the People’s Military Service Rule (fifth draft) after receiving the recommendations of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, cooperation to offer suggestions for the rule (fifth draft) and plans to seek approval by submitting it to the relevant superiors.
He then mentioned the directives of the SAC Chairman Prime Minister regarding the military training, and opening of training batches 1 to 3, the need to supervise not to enlist the people under eligible age and not to register by force by the relevant committees, ward/township administrators.
Vice-Chairman of the central body Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye also discussed the weaknesses and advantages of three trainings and preparations to conduct Training batch 4 successfully, and the attendees cooperated in the discussion.
In conclusion, the Admiral said the time frame has been set for further training and the inspections should be made via the checklists. The ward and village-tracts should check data on military training and the region and district levels should assign the duty systematically. Moreover, actions will be taken against those who fail to join the training after registering, those absent without leave after passing a medical checkup and those absent without leave after receiving their own numbers.
