Census to be taken using mobile tablet

The ground population will be enumerated from house to house with the use of mobile tablets on 1 October 2024, said U Myint Kyaing, Union Minister of the Ministry of Immigration and Population and Chair of the Central Census Commission.
He also said the census will be taken simultaneously throughout the country for 15 days from 1 to 15 October 2024. Census questions also need to be compact and preparing the questionnaire must be in line with basic principles and recommendations published by the United Nations.
The nationwide census was completed between 9 and 31 January and the facts and figures have also been entered into the e-ID software. —TWA/KZW
