BIMSTEC member delegates arrive in Nay Pyi Taw for 4th BIMSTEC National Security Chiefs’ Meeting

BIMSTEC national security chiefs and their wives and members from BIMSTEC member countries flew to Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning via Yangon to attend the Fourth BIMSTEC National Security Chiefs’ Meeting, which Myanmar will host.
Officials from relevant ministries greeted the chiefs of national security who arrived in Nay Pyi Taw at Nay Pyi Taw Airport. BIMSTEC security chiefs and their wives arrived in Yangon on 24 July, where Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials at the Yangon International Airport welcomed them.

Also, BIMSTEC Secretary- General Mr Indra Mani Pandey and senior BIMSTEC security officials who will attend the coordination meeting for the Fourth BIMSTEC National Security Chiefs’ Meeting arrived in Yangon on 22 and 23 July. Officials from the State Administration Council office and relevant ministries welcomed them at Yangon International Airport. — MNA/KZL
