Ayeyawady United trounce Mahar United 6-1 in MNL

Ayeyawady United celebrated a 6-1 win over Mahar United on the second match of the Myanmar National League Week-3 at the Youth Training Centre in Thuwunna in Yangon yesterday.
The Ayeyawady United lost in the first match of the season but won two consecutive matches against Rakhine and Mahar United.
With Ayeyawady’s wins, striker Yan Kyaw Htwe became the first hat-trick record holder this season.
Ayeyawady’s head coach U Myo Hlaing Win used his favourite line-up with Tin Win Aung, Zaw Lin, Aung Naing Win, Yan Kyaw Htwe, and Yazar Aung.
Meanwhile, Kyaw Swa Min, Soe Min Naing and Naing Lin Tun were on the line-up of Mahar United. Nay Oo Lwin scored the first goal for Mahar United in the first five minutes of the match but Mahar United could not control the match and had to return three goals in the first half.
Yan Kyaw Htwe scored the equalizer for Ayeyawady in the 14th minute. Ayeyawady won 3-1 at the end of the first half as Kaung Myat Thu scored two goals in the 34th and 39th minutes.
In the second half, Ayeyawady controlled the match and scored the winning goals again.
Yan Kyaw Htwe scored two more goals in the 68 and 71 minute-marks and made a hat-trick. In the 77th minute, Si Thu Naing scored another goal to give the Ayeyawady a six-goal victory.
Mahar United beat Hanthawady in Game 2 but lost to Shan United and Ayeyawady, so the FC has to prepare for good results in the next matches.
After three games played, Ayeyawady have secured six points while Mahar United three points. Defending Champion Shan United will take on Yadanabon FC today.—Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
