The Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems of Mandalay Region has announced that the placement of navigation signs in the Ayeyawady River will be temporarily suspended from June to November.
The suspension applies to the Bhamo-Mandalay-Singu route, as the current high water levels in the river have created favourable waterway conditions. However, emergency navigation signs will be installed as needed. The placement of regular navigation signs will resume in November. — TWA/TRKM
