Applications open for MIF Research Fellowship Programme 2025

The Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo has announced that scholarships for the Matsumae International Foundation (MIF) Research Fellowship Programme 2025 are now open for scholars wishing to conduct research in Japan.
Applicants must hold a PhD and be under 49 years old. Proficiency in English or Japanese is required. Individuals who currently live or have previously lived in Japan are ineligible. Preference will be given to those in natural science, engineering, and medicine who also hold relevant professional positions in their home country.
The scholarship will be awarded to 15 scholars, with funding available from April 2025 to March 2026. Applications should be submitted to the Matsumae International Foundation (MIF) via email [email protected] between 1 April and 30 June. — TWA/TRKM
