Lieutenant General Kyaw Swe, Union Minister for Home Affairs, attended the 2/2019 Meeting of Central Body for the Suppression of Trafficking in Persons held at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The Union Minister, as a Chairman of the committee, made an opening remark, and the anti-trafficking bodies, legal aid groups, and reacceptance and rehabilitation groups for trafficked persons discussed the actions in response to the 2019 Trafficking in Persons Report of U.S. Department of State.
The state and regional ministers for security and border affairs and the representatives of anti-trafficking bodies presented their activities.
The Union Minister then delivered a concluding remark on the meeting that was attended by 71 persons, including the invited guests and media personnel.— MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
