Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism workshop held in Magway

Under the sponsorship of the supervisory group of regional real estate agents and precious metal dealers, an awareness-raising workshop on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism was held at the meeting hall of the Magway Region General Administration Department yesterday morning.
The joint secretary of the supervisory group of regional real estate agents and precious metal dealers gave an opening speech. Region-level officials, the chairman and secretaries of the district supervisory group, the chairman and secretaries of the township registration group, and the chairman and members of the township association of gold entrepreneurs and real estate agents attended the workshop.
Lectures on ALM/CFT were given by Deputy Director U Kyaw Swe of the General Administration Department (Headquarters), guidelines on real estate agents and precious metal dealers by Assistant Director U Kyaw Htoo, Anti-Money Laundering Law by Police Lt-Col Soe Naing, duties of Anti-Money Laundering by Director of Magway Region Bureau of Special Investigation U Win Oo. — Ko Sithu (Magway IPRD)/KZW
