These years, people’s interest in old-time Myanmar traditional dress designs has elevated again, according to experts in Myanmar culture.
Myanmar’s traditional outfits have once again attracted the public’s attention, resulting in Myanmar’s conventional clothing-related sectors becoming widely known.
“Recently, Myanmar traditional dresses are being worn in beauty pageants. Old-time wear designs have gained popularity again lately. Some wear things like ancient times in their pre-wedding photo shoots. So old Myanmar wear designs have become quite popular again in recent years,” said Ko Hteik Tin Sithu Hein from Myat Taw Win, who provides services on Myanmar culture.
With the widespread use of online social networks, interest in Myanmar’s traditional wear has mounted. Myanmar culture has been found widely used in wedding receptions, and Myanmar traditional dresses have been worn in renovated designs as a new fashion trend. Myanmar traditional Longyi (sarong) and blouse have also gained popularity among international custormers.
