Agriculture and livestock-based MSMEs need to be successful for rural development: MoCRD Union Minister

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe arrived at the office of the Rural Road Development Department in Sittway, Rakhine State yesterday afternoon and met the staff in the meeting hall of the office.
During the meeting, the Union minister said that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on agriculture and livestock must be successful in the development of rural areas in order to be self-sufficient in small-scale products locally as well as be able to export them abroad.
“We are working together to support technology and basic needs for the seeds and inputs needed for agriculture and livestock activities,” he said.
In such doing, four relevant departments should work together and meet with the local people to meet their development needs, and to try to successfully carry out emerald green projects which are run by the national economic promotion fund, he continued.
The Union minister ordered officials to follow the rules and staff regulations in the 2022-2023 fiscal year, to complete the work in a timely manner and with full quality.
Afterwards, the state departmental heads explained the status of implementations in Rakhine State according to the financial year, and the Union minister coordinated the necessary things and fulfilled the needs. — MNA/KZL
