From April to December 2023, there are more than 380 agencies that have not sent the personal information of the workers and they are required to send them before 15 July, Safe Migration has informed.
On 11 July, Safe Migration announced the list of 388 agencies that have not even sent the employment contracts and stated that those which have not sent any worker abroad must also report before 15 July 2024 to [email protected].
On 9 June 2024, when the list of agencies that have not yet sent the monthly report for May was released, Safe Migration informed that it would be better to return the license if the agency cannot work as per the license’s conditions as it was a disturbance in their duty to work with.
In addition, these listings play an important role and thus the agencies should follow them with respect, it said. According to reports published by Safe Migration on 9 June, there are 565 licensed overseas employment agencies in Myanmar. — MT/ZN
