ADB officials conduct survey on traffic safety in Mandalay


Officials of Asian Development Bank are compiling a paper on deaths and injuries in traffic accidents, and cases of taking action against traffic rule offenders in Mandalay, an official of Mandalay Region Transport Department told media on 16 December.
For compilation of the paper, a survey will be conducted for the topics of easing traffic congestion in Mandalay, running of bus lines, erecting traffic signs, control of traffic light systems, and future downtown transport system.
Adviser Mr Eric Howard of Asian Development Bank and departmental officials held a meeting on plans to reduce traffic accidents and enforce traffic rules at the hall of Mandalay Region Public Works on 16 December.–Thiha Ko Ko (Mandalay)
