Terrorist networks must be exposed to reduce attacks

It is necessary to take security measures systematically to ensure public security and peace and stability in the region.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing stressed the need to consider the implementation of the long-term plan to restore peace and stability in the region and take secure and smooth transport measures.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by SAC Member Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Htein Win, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, Union-level dignitaries, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and officials, inspected progress in restoring peace and stability in the area of the Southern Command yesterday afternoon.
At the meeting hall of the Southern Command Headquarters, Commander Maj-Gen Kyi Thaik reported to the Senior General on subversive acts of some EAOs and PDF terrorists with attempts to deteriorate peace and stability in the area of Southern Command, their terror acts of blowing up communication routes, bridges and railways being used by the people, and efforts of Tatmadaw and Myanmar Police Force members in taking security measures for ensuring peace and stability of the region.
In his response to the reports, the Senior General underlined that security measures must be taken systematically to ensure public security and restore peace and stability in the region. He noted the need to take security measures systematically to safeguard public security and the peace and stability of the area, as well as to expose information chain of terrorist networks to be able to reduce attacks. The Senior General stressed the need to consider the implementation of the long-term plan to restore peace and stability in the region and take secure and smooth transportation measures.
On the occasion, the Senior General gave necessary guidance on local security, peace and stability of the region.
At the Tatmadaw hospital in Toungoo, the Senior General comforted Tatmadaw members and MPF members who were receiving medical treatments for their injuries suffered while serving the defence and security duties of the State.
The Senior General asked about the conditions of Tatmadaw and MPF, who were injured while serving the defence and security duties of the State, and their health conditions individually and fulfilled the needs of those patients.
The Senior General presented cash awards and gifts to those patients. After asking about the hospital’s requirements, the Senior General attended to the needs. — MNA/TTA
