The Central Committee on Animal Health and Livestock Development held a coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Union Minister U Min Naung, who is also chairman of the central committee, said the departmental organizations, the private sector and farmers should cooperate in developing nutritious meat, egg, milk and dairy products, whereas the committee focuses on establishing livestock land areas, animal disease-free zone, disease control zone and supervision on registration of animal medicine and animal feed.
At noon, the Union minister attended the handover ceremony of Russia-made leaf fertilizer spray for monsoon paddy.
At the ceremony, Mr Oleg Kovalenko of Fund RC-Investments of the Russian Federation clarified the donations and handed over 293 litres of leaf fertilizer spray.
The Union minister then expressed gratitude and gave a certificate of honour to Fund RC-Investment in return. — MNA/KTZH
