Malicious media have been spreading false news, alleging that security forces seized and destroyed public properties in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, on 19 August.
A security official from Myingyan Township clarified that PDF terrorists attacked several villages using both heavy and small arms, which led to arson and injuries among residents. In response, locals and security forces are working together to ensure the area’s safety. There was no evidence of destruction or seizure of public properties.
