ME in Malaysia releases list of approved passport applicants

The Myanmar Embassy in Malaysia announced the list of persons approved to apply for a new passport.
Out of new passport applicants along with original Citizenship Scrutiny Card and copy of the household list, the embassy released the list of approved persons who submitted from 29 January to 2 February and from 5 February to 9 February 2024.
Of 668 applications submitted as of 29 January to 2 February 2024, including Saw Chit Nay Toe, who identified himself as a Myanmar national and worked in Malaysia, 393 Myanmar nationals whose personal information is correct were approved. Of 656 applications submitted from 5 February to 9 February 2024, including Min Zaw Oo, who identified himself as a Myanmar national and working in Malaysia, 380 Myanmar nationals and 147 Myanmar nationals were approved.
The embassy also released a list of 118 whose personal information is incorrect out of 656 Myanmar nationals submitted as of 5 February to 9 February 2024.
Applicants can check whether their names are included or not at the announcement section of www.myanmarembassykl.org, and those who are included can seek an appointment date at https://www.mekl.org and can come to take out their passport on their appointment date, it said.
The original CSC (citizenship scrutiny card), copy of the household list, and copy of the resume issued by the embassy are required to be brought to the embassy. — MT/ZS/ED
